2012 Camps

The following training camps will be held at SCFC in 2012.  To register for a camp, click on the particular link, which will take you to AskFred.net, a registration site for the camps.  Payment should be sent to the center at:

Please note the registration deadlines for each camp.  Camp registration will close as soon as the maximum number of fencers has been reached, which may be before the posted deadline.  A limited number of host-stays will be available for out-of-town fencers; be sure to contact the center early if you would like to make arrangements to stay with a host family.

Pre-Nationals Camp

Session 1: June 22 - 24
Session 2: June 25 - 27

This 6-day camp will focus on technical, tactical and psychological preparation for the National Championships.  Morning sessions will include tournament-specific conditioning and tactical footwork.  Afternoon sessions will include situational bouting, video analysis and mental preparation techniques designed to maximize your performance.

Fencers who are not attending the National Championships are welcome to register for this event.  This camp is designed for intermediate and advanced fencers.

Cost:
 One session (3 days): $350
 Both sessions (6 days): $500

Summer Camps

Session 1: August 6 - 10
Session 2: August 13 - 17

These 5-day camps will focus on pre-season development.  Morning sessions will include general conditioning with agility work and technical footwork.  Afternoon sessions will include themed bouting, video analysis and individualized feedback with an emphasis on introducing and refining material for the 2012-2013 competitive season.

This camp is designed for intermediate and advanced fencers.

 One session (5 days): $500
 Both sessions (10 days): $800

Winter Camps

Session 1: December 27-29
Session 2: January 3-5 (2013)

These intense 3-day camps will focus on mid-season refinement and improving quickness and overall effectiveness.  Camp time will be divided between improving technical components and tactical work.  Lots of bouting with this camp!

This camp is designed for all levels (familiarity with basics is a pre-requisite; this is not an introductory camp)
