Prices
SCFC is a non-profit corporation that is focused on the development of fencing in the greater Orange County area, providing instruction at both the recreational and competitive levels. Club membership is included in the price of all classes, as is the option to use basic (non-electric) equipment provided by the center. This rental equipment is free to students for use during classes. We also offer a full-service store, where you can purchase your own equipment.
Membership:
Membership is included in the price of all classes. Membership gives the fencer access to the center 6 days a week, use of our fitness center, free entry into most club tournaments, seminars and workshops, access to private lessons (the lessons themselves are a separate fee), and free use of rental gear. We offer video review technology for our students and as well as a library of fencing resources, including books and DVDs.
For those fencers wishing to train regularly at the center but not enrolled in classes, membership fees are $75/month.
Drop-in fees (for a single day of open fencing) are $15. Drop-in fees do not include class instruction.
Classes:
All classes at SCFC are run on an on-going basis for your convenience. You may join a class at any time and the center is open year round (except for major holidays). Fencers starting a class after the 15th of the month will receive 30% off of class fees for that month. All perspective students are welcome to join a class for a day for free before deciding whether to commit to that program.
A short 2 week break is taken during the end of December in observance of the holiday season. Classes may be taken for as long as you like. For those wishing to enter into a Competitive program, please see a member of our staff. We will sit down with you and answer any questions that you may have regarding this next level.
Regardless of the class, we ask that fencers attend consistently and minimize training interruptions. Due to the complexity behind fencing, training should be approached with a similar mind-set to music: consistent, quality, daily practice is the only way allow the fencer to enjoy quick progress in the sport.

Intermediate classes are weapon-specific and the student may choose which weapon to specialize in.
