The South Coast Fencing Center is home to the sport of modern Olympic fencing for the greater Orange County, CA, area. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to creating athletes who are passionate about personal growth through our sport. Our coaching staff is focused on a positive, internally-motivated teaching process that identifies and emphasizes the individual strengths of each of our athletes.

Our Background & Philosophy
The South Coast Fencing Center is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 with the goal of providing an extraordinary training experience in a positive and focused learning environment. The Center offers instruction in foil and epee at all levels. Our coaches have extensive experience at both the national and international levels and are experienced in developing and fostering talent in every student, regardless of their background.

Orange Coast Division Tournaments
August 21, 2025
SCFC hosts a series of Orange Coast Division sanctioned foil tournaments this season. These include mixed foil events in the following age categories: Youth-12, Youth-14, Senior and Veteran. This coming season, we are adding some epee events to the Sunday tournaments.
Our sanctioned events start up again in September. Our first SCFC Open Foil Circuit event of this season will be held on Friday, September 5. Check-in is at 6:30pm and the unsanctioned tournament is open to any fencer, regardless of experience level, age or club.
Our first Division sanctioned tournament will be held at the Center on Sunday, September 7. Consult AskFred.net for more details.

Time to renew USA Fencing membership
August 21, 2025
The 2025-2026 US fencing season runs from August 1, 2025 - July 31, 2026. Per USA Fencing regulations, all club fencers must be current members of USA Fencing. Membership through our national organization is required regardless of whether you are competitive active or not.
