We are a non-profit organization dedicated to creating athletes who are passionate about personal growth through our sport. Our coaching staff is focused on a positive, internally-motivated teaching process that identifies and emphasizes the individual strengths of each of our athletes.

Our Background & Philosophy
The South Coast Fencing Center is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 with the goal of providing an extraordinary training experience in a positive and focused learning environment. The Center offers instruction in foil and epee at all levels. Our coaches have extensive experience at both the national and international levels and are experienced in developing and fostering talent in every student, regardless of their background.

Orange Coast Division Tournaments
February 16, 2026
SCFC hosts a series of Orange Coast Division sanctioned foil tournaments this season. These include mixed foil events in the following age categories: Youth-12, Youth-14, Senior and Veteran. This coming season, we are adding some epee events to the Sunday tournaments.
Our sanctioned events run from September through June of each season, as do our SCFC unsanctioned Circuit competitions.
Our next SCFC Open Foil Circuit event of this season will be held on Friday, March 6. Check-in is at 6:15pm and the unsanctioned tournament is open to any fencer, regardless of experience level, age or club.
Our next Division sanctioned tournament will be held at the Center on Sunday, March 22. Consult AskFred.net for more details:

The Center will be open on Monday, February 16 during the President's Day holiday.
SCFC Summer Camp registration is now open

SCFC will be holding our annual Summer Camp and registration is now open. To reserve your spot, please email our Front Desk.

This season, our Summer Camp will run from Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19 from 9:30am to 5pm daily. Students are encourage to register for the full camp but can also drop in for a daily rate.

This camp is open to anyone age 12 and up with previous foil experience.
